One Final Shipwreck

Sufis said:

"Nothing is ours
but what we can
save in a shipwreck"

Would that we could gather
all we desire
we would become ever larger
gigantic snowballs
heading toward the fate
of all gigantic snowballs

My life needs fewer
not more things
to carry off
during that final shipwreck

Better to carry these things
in my head

They may seem heavy
but are no more than
bits of electricity
